2nd gen door mirrors on a 3rd gen

2nd gen door mirrors on a 3rd gen
Real quick question... Will 2nd gen door mirrors bolt onto a 3rd gen? I want the put chrome mirrors on my 97 but cannot find any for it. But there are lots of (cheap) chrome mirrors for the 2nd's.

I saw the covers but would prefer proper chrome mirrors.
The reason I was wondering about the 2nd gen one is that there are lots for sale over this side on the atlantic but 3rd gens are non-existant.
Don't suppose anyone wants to swap a set of chromes for my black ones?
