What year is your 4Runner.
Just reading it sound like a good deal, but then there's the fine print.
He has a 7" lift. Is it a decent quality lift or is it on blocks? Find out as much as you can about the truck. Ask if he's replaced the Birfs. Does it show any signs of abuse (jumping, hard wheeling, etc)
Conicidentally, I'm buying a '83. But I'm lucky. Its completely stock.
My uncle had a carb'd '86 Toy. He had no problems with it when he wheeled. As long as you maintain it and keep it adjusted, you should have no problems. At least, that's my understanding. I have no experience, YET.

yeah i looked at it today, and its a pretty crappy deal, cause it dosent even have a bed or fenders on right now, i know the kid who is trying to trade, and know the history of the truck, but after looking at it, i wont be trading, instead ill be selling my runner....
