7.5" Ifs carrier bearing replacment

So I was looking to get some advice on on replacing the carrier bearings on my 7.5" ifs differential. So I picked up both differentials with the 4.88 factory gears but the front one has alittle bit of a wobble on the passenger side axle shaft. So I was quoted $400 to replace the bearings in the front differential by a shop which to me seems pretty steep considering I only paid $300 for both. Im trying to keep the cost low so I was wondering if there was as cheaper way to fix it, such as could I possibly use the 4cyls bearings on the v6 carrier or would that be a bad idea or would that even work?
