Cole Hersee switches

Anyone using the Cole Hersee rocker panel switch that fits into the factory cut-out dash location. I need the model number as they have so many I am not sure which one fits out Toyota cut-out perfectly.

I know all about the Toyota switch you can get that fits there so do not waste time posting about that. What I need is a SPDT switch that fits in the cut-out so if you have a SPST switch model # from Cole I can look for a similar sized one in SPDT. I know someone is using them as they posted about it before.

Cole Hersee supossedly make the switches for Toyota, and some of them have interchangeable colored lens also.

Thanks.

Your local NAPA Auto parts should have them in stock, also the catagogue shows the measurements of each switch.

Jalaber, does this post help or not?
Bill has some 3 way switches, though not by Cole.
Is that the spdt?

Helps a little, at leat I now know there is a SPDT (three way) with center off dual illuminated rocker switch out there that fits our rigs. Thanks.

I like the cole's as they have the square lamps and the lenses are interchangeable and you can choose the color combo you want.

Thanks Mack, I'll check out the local NAPA this weekend if I pass one.

Same thing you are using this (3-way) one for

I am finally getting around to doing that mod. It has been on my list for a long time, just don't have the time...Seeing Jataga's post on ODW sparked my interest again.

I have a spare IPF switch (same one in the picture). I bought two of the IPF lights and they each came with a switch. It probably doesn't look as nice as the Hersee switch, but you're welcome to it regardless. Just say the word.

EDIT: I just remembered. I had a total of three of those switches at one time. I ordered one from ARB ($20) but then I realized the Hella lights were POS's so I bought the IPF lights which each came with one. I sold one of them to Josh Perkins for the $20 I paid for it, but if you cover the shipping cost, I'll throw it in the mail for you. You've helped me out plenty of times in the past.

I just saw some of the switches they manufacture, and they are nice! Let us know which switch you go with. I'm sure you'll do a write-up

Hey Phong, Thanks for the offer. I know you had an extra switch from the last time (about a yr ago  ) that I was going to install rear fogs. We spoke a little at that time. I'll keep the offer in mind if the Cole does not work out.

The Cole I plan I getting is # 58328-103-BP.

Weather-Resistant Rkr. Sw. 2 dependent pilot lights(1 large; 1 small), with 8 lenses, one of each color and size unassembed, bubble pack

BTW, did you tap the reverse lamp circuit at the rear trailer wire harness of did you do it like Wild_Bill and tap it near the driver door sill?

Thanks again.

That's a nice switch. I'm gonna have to keep that place in mind for when I add onboard air.

I tapped the reverse circuit here. Right behind the cargo panel, behind the tail lamp. Probably not the easiest location to get to, but I already had everything apart to run the wiring. I just ran the 2nd throw to the battery.

good luck,

oh yeah

I forgot to ask, what are they charging you for that switch? Any cheaper if you buy two? (probably not :rolleyes I'd like to change my switch to something that looks more "factory".

Thanks.

I am going to try NAPA Auto Parts first, but I doubt that my local store will have them. West Marine carries the Cole Hersee line of switches and if my local store does not have it in stock I will order it from their website for $14. Just remember before ordering...I am not sure at this point if they exactly fit into the 4runner factory cut-outs, I won't know till i pick one up and try it.
