Replacing OEM fuel filter with spectre filter

The Spectre universal filter above looks nothing like the OEM filter. I read that it was recommended because they are clear and can be replaced easily, but I wanted to see if any of you have one installed on your truck and what your experience has been with it.

Thanks

Why on earth did you do away with the stock filter on your truck and put that piece of junk on there ?.

Wouldn't trust it. The OEM replacement filter has tens of times more filter material and is considered a "lifetime part". While that only means it will last maybe 100 000 miles, you don't have to replace it often, thus a quick-change filter is sort of redundant. Gas is really clean in North America, but fuel injection needs well-filtered fuel. As a result, the filter doesn't get dirty often, but needs to work well. That filter shown doesn't look like it would do that.
