LED dash light color opinion (post pix if u have them)

well ive got burnt out bulbs all over my interior and its about time to get rid of that boring pale green.

i know a lot of guys go white for blue which looks great but i my car is not an audi so im looking for something a little less rice looking (no offense to those with white or blue but i had a civic that i did too much of that too and now im going far in the other direction, kinda like affirmative action for car color schemes).

Im kinda thinking red but im really leaning towards AMBER. Sounds crazy, i know. i think the amber just looks distinctive yet not offensive.

The only thing that could maybe swing me to blue is that my CD is blue and I hate not matching. maybe ill have to take it apart too and change its bulbs. haha

let me know what you think and post pics of all options if you have them! thanks!

PS- how do you make a pole post?

You should go with yellow/amber. I have a pic let me see if I can find it.

And what is a pole post?

Man that red looks sweet! Very nice psraff. I'm thinking of doing the entire interior LED switchover soon, but I'm going to stick with the "boring" green (to match the Pioneer head I have waiting to be installed) and white in the map and dome lights.

Thanks everyone for the "cudos". I really like it and everyone who sits in it enjoys it as well. I changed the blinker indicators to red LED as well. Those are bright!!! Not bad for me because of where the steering wheel is positioned it's right in the line of site of them. But if you drive where you can actually see your blinker indicators you may want to reconsider swapping those out.

IDK an amber colour scheme would remind me too much of 80's Mazda lol
I'm planning on going ricer ultra white/blue but that's just my taste...
though the yellow does look ok too...

I really like the red. I am waiting until they find an LED that doesn't create dim spots. I did LEDs in my Maxima. I used wide lens etc. They still create bright and dim spots. When I take a pic of them at night I guess digital camera compensate because in the pics they look even and bright.

That's the type I want but I don't like how it seems to create hotspots near where the LED itself is... does anybody know which type to get that don't do this as much?

you want some inverted LED's. Unfortunately the 99-02 4Runners use a #24 bulb which are not that common and most places don't even carry them. Autolumination has the best selection of #24's but they don't have any inverted ones and the quality of their stuff isn't very good. i had some bulbs die after a month. V-leds has started carrying some #24's but they only have like 2 different bulbs. if you have a 96-98 or a older Pickup or 4Runner, then you you have #194's which you can find anywhere.
