Speedometer Replacement Questions

Two years ago the cable broke, last year the speedo broke, and now the speedo went out again.

Anyways, last time I found a cluster from a truck with all the same options: manual, V6, 4x4. I can't find an exact this time.

Does it matter? I know I have to find a mechanical gauge, but does it have to be from a manual, V6, 4x4? (Truck is a 91)

Get one from a 89-91 4x4 v6 MT I can't remember if it was 92 or 93 that they changed to an elec speedo.

92 went electric.

Are you saying that engine, trans, and 4wd matter, or just that I should try to find one the same as mine, to be safe?

Different engine means different trans. There was only one 5sp for the 3vze MT. It was the r150f.

Im pretty sure the cables where different.... I would find one the same to be safe, but hopfally sombody else will chime in with some guidence..
