Should I invest in a transmission oil cooler? Which one?

Hey guys. I have been thinking of getting a transmission cooler. I don't do any towing or demanding driving, but I am just getting paranoid about my radiator cooler springing a leak an dumping cooland into my tranny. My plan would be to bypass the radiator, and use only a separate transmission cooler.

How common of a problem is a radiator cooler leak? Do these happen often enought for me to worry about?

For those who have installed coolers, which one is the best?

ETA: This is a '94 Pickup A340F transmission

TRD makes a good tranny cooler, fairly easy to install too. I don't do much towing either but it was a good investment.

Its much more common with the 96-04 trucks, not very common at all with the 86-95 trucks. What does that tell you about Toyota quality standards lately LOL.

If you bypass the rad cooler, go with a cooler that has a built-in bypass for cold ATF, like the TRU-COOL LPD ® LOW PRESSURE DROP OIL COOLERS. http://www.importperformancetrans.com/coolers.shtml

The TRD cooler (made by Hayden) doesn't have one that I've seen.
