rear disk setup off a hardbody??

i was walking through the junkyard last week and glanced at a hardbody with rear disks... but dident get a chance to check it out because a friend needed help pulling something..

anyone ever look into this?

next time i go im going to check out....

axle shaft spline count...,

backing plate bolt pattern...,

and everything else, lines, mc, calipers...

ooo..that'd be the ...theres alot of Hardbody's at the local scrapyard...more than a few of the 4wd's have rear discs!!!!..please!.check and see!..

if they are interchangeable i doubt it would be worth the change...as they probably wouldnt give you THAT much more stopping power..might as well get a kit...lol

ill definately check it out sometime this week! the nissan rearends are very similar to the toyotas arnet they? (3rd member setup and all...)

ill also need to check out the ebrake setup...

and all Chevy 350's are the same

sounds like a good idea, since there tends to be a LOT more broken Nissan's in junk yards than Toyotas

if you can snag em for cheap, compare them side by side and see what kinda mods you'd have to make; it would be interesting to know

the toyota backing plate bolt pattern is a square, and i think that the nissan bolt pattern is the same top and bottom, but its like 1in shorter front to back. and their would be no feasible ebrake. im going to check out some more options and reply later... still really want this swap.
