I've used 90915-YZZA2 and 08922-02011 on the 3.4L. What engine do you have.

I just got a new filter from my dealer and noticed the #90915-YZZB1 was different that my current one 90915-YZZB5. The difference was the length of the filter so I was assuming the B1 was for the 6cyl as mine is a 4cyl..... In any case the diameter and threads were the same.

TJ, I'm certain that all Toyota filters have both bypass and anti-drainback valves. The main difference (besides size) is the type and fold of the filter media.

I am planning to buy a TOYOTA filter to use for my next oil change on my 3VZE 3.0L.

Is it really worth it to go out my way and go cop that TOYOTA filter??

I've been using FRAM DOUBLE GUARD X-TRA PROTECTION and the last one I used was a K&N OIL FILTER.

Also, do the filters for the 3.0's have that bypass vavle in it??

I mean, what is....??

Is it attached to the filter where I don't have to tamper with it??

I don't know why, but for some reason, I am thinking it's like something that you must install in the fitler or something..........

Some one fill me in.

I noticed the Toyota filter has a orange, cotton-y, sponge type filter instead of a folded paper filter. I think the orange filter is much better in trapping particles.
