i got a code 52 . There i was taking apart my 1994 3VZ-E engine to replace knock harness pulled off intake and found that the knock sensor was covered in oil at least 4 cups. I sucked all oil out and replaced harness. Thinking it must have been the old gaskets that caused this I replaced all 3 intake gaskets, all the fuel injector rings grommets and insulators, and the right and left valve cover gasket. also the PVC and grommet. I just don't have the money 4 a shop 2 do the work. I put it all back together and started her up went around the block and you guessed it. code 52 back again. I got sick to my stomach parked the truck. Kicked myself for not checking the knock sensor itself..Next day took her apart again and there was about 1 cup of oil around the knock.above the 6 and 4 spark plugs those fuel injectors had oil around the insulators.I have read thread after thread all kinds of sights i can't figure whats wrong..Truck is setting apart..info that I have read makes me think I need to put it back together and do a compression test.I only have basic
replacement part know how on autos. but OK at figuren stuff out. I'm new to this sight and the computer scary new frontier..VERY GREEN The Question is. Where do I srart looking to find the leak? Called toyota dealer and HG was replaced in 98.
