2002 Toyota 4 Runner Ride Quality

New to the forum.
I own a 2002 SR5 4-runner with 60,000 miles. What do I need to do to improve the ride of the vehicle? When I hit a bump, go over railroad tracks or speed bumps, it rocks back and forth and throws me around inside. It's a daily driver that I don't do any off roading with. My tires are GoodYear Wrangler R/T / 265/75/R16's. I absolutely love the vehicle, but I feel like I'm riding a bull when I go over a bump/ rail road tracks. Any recommendations would be great!
Thanks!

Welcome.

Tire pressure adjustments are an easy way to improve the ride (a little bit).

Well since these may be the original suspension components what you are feeling may be a combination of shocks and springs. The 02' springs sat very low and you may actually be bouncing off of the bumpstops. So, the fix... new suspension. Now in respect to what types and brands

Springs & shocks, you're probably bouncing off the bumpstops.
