Just did an oil and filter change on my 03 4Runner. Getting the front skid plate back on is very difficult when working underneath the vehicle that is up on ramps.

The plate for underneath the filter is very heavy and an aukward fit. Is there a trick that I'm missing?

 

No trick, its just a pain. Try it without the skids off sometime and let us know how it goes.

I changed my oil last Sunday (didn't know I was going to do it... just changed the filter and next thing I knew I was changing everything) and I'm still hurting somewhere between my back and under my right arm... I think I overstretched something :cry:

 

 

hmm, according to firsttoy's pic, that doesn't look hard? am i missing something?

 

The oil filter for the V8 is on the bottom of the motor, and the heavy skid plate has to be removed. I did mine, and its not that easy.
