ncsu -- what are you gonna do with the disc brakes?? are you gonna use the 4runner ones or the minitruck ones??

if the axle still has the disc brakes and you are gonna use the 4runner ones i'll purchase the minitrucks ones from you for my cruiser -- not sure what parts you need for the SAS -- good luck on the project

axle is supposed to be delivered tonight, if the brakes are on it they are yours. i payed 200 for the whole axle hub to hub so id say the brakes (assuming they are on there) would be like $20 for the pair? sound fair?

sounds good -- not sure what i need or you need so when you are finished sas i'll take the left over brake parts!!

also what doestch shocks do you have?? what about the bilstein's?? i need some for the front and longer for the rear -- if you are gettin rid i could use the bilsteins (in your front right) and maybe the doestch if they arnt the ones i have.

also you will probally have to start a new tread when the sas is underway it seams this tread has diverted to pre-sas tread!!

good luck i wanna do mine also but the $$ goes to the cruiser right now!!

im pretty sure andrew(minidisc) has claimed all the front suspension parts but if he decides he doesnt want em you can have first dibs. if anyone wants the front diff w/ 4.56 3rd member or CVs theyll be for sale as well. as far as the rear im not sure what im gonna do. ideally id like to keep it the way it is for now.

the bilsteins are on the IFS and the doestch are in the rear

for the sas do you use the mini birfs??

i found out that i need everything from the birfs out -- and i think that you will need those parts but if not let me know

do have a timeline for this project??

let me know what you have left over i might be able to use the 4runner calibers and rotors if you use the mini ones

just scored a mini truck disc conversion this weekend!!

the only things i need are the stearing arm from the mini axle & rotors -- and i pay top $ -- i actually probally need the calibers also that way i dont have to rebuild -- although I can cut my stearing arm and get the rotors from autozone -- i want the cheapest way out.

also in the market for a mini axle for the sas myself -- my truck is about to fall apart it didnt like the guardrail headon at 75 -- also blew DS drive axle and inner seal so i now have a front diff leak.

and i think i saw you this weekend it was a little after 4 on sat and saw a runner on the overpass of 40/85 right where they split (i was going E back to Statesville) couldnt see for sure but had the same rack with lights (assuming you got that fixed)

ncsu -- are you gonna use a kit from All Pro or Advanced Offroad (AOR)??

im looking into it and probally gonna use the All Pro since you get everything you need except axle & driveshaft

also if you arnt gonna use the ifs calipers i'll take em -- im gonna use them in the runner sas and disc brake conversion on my cruiser

im about 90% sure im gonna use the allpro system for that reason, its got everything you need but a driveshaft and axle. the allpro system comes with new rotors, and ill use the calipers off my runner, so the calipers and rotors and whatever else you want off the 85 axle is fine.

calipers off the solid arent worth crap, the rotors might be salvagable once i clean them up, the steering arms and drag links are ok but also need some cleaning, what else were you looking at?

i may just need stearing arm

talked to about 5 or 6 guys with sas taco's or older toy trucks

none of them spent over $1000 including axle

they only bought the hi-steer from all pro and fabed everything esle

now all pros kit seams a little pricey, i will probally buy the spring hanger kit and hi-steer ~$750 but i cant but i have one in the garage

heres where the prices stand right now

From a private seller

4in lift Leaf Springs: $250 shipped (299 plus shipping from allpro)
front hanger: $80 shipped (140 from allpro)

From allpro

shackles: $100
5150 Bil shocks: $180 from allpro (looking for better price)
Weldable Long travel Shock Hoops: $90
Hysteer: $460
Steering stabalizer: $90
Vented FJ-80 rotors: $120 pair
Stainless long brake lines: $70 pair
Wheel spacers: $170
Ubolt flip: $50
Axle: $200
GOOD front Driveshaft: $200?

ok the only parts i can see working myself are the U-bolt flip kit (looks like about $10 worth from lowes) a front hanger/shackles (im getting a good deal from a guy so thats kinda pointless) and the shock hoops ( allpro ones look alot nicer that any i could make )

its hard to cut much out without sacraficing my main goal, keep it w great DD truck. anyone know a good deal on stainless brake lines? $70 seems a little pricey for some steel mesh
