The page is a lil wrong, the V6 is not a 2.9L. And I'm above average for my year and auto tranny....by 'bout 5 mpg.....not bad.....

what if you've got a couple hundred thousand miles worth of carbon build up?

at 293600 miles, I'm sure my once 2.4l is now probably closer to a 2.2l, lol

What is the actual displacement of the 3.0? I know the 22RE isnt quite 2400 cc.

I'd have to say that the highway estimate is a little low on the 22RE 5spd.

The actual displacement of the 3VZ is 2958 cc. Toyota never made a "2.9L" engine. The 2.4L displacement is 2366 cc.

I'm just saying that the plate on my engine says 3.0......not 2.9.....

When they start taxing us by displacement we will wish we had a 2.95 vs the 3.0.

It says I am supposed to get 18 to 22. I get 19 to 24. I am pretty sure most new cars aren't getting ABOVE what they are rated for, let alove an SUV thats 21 years old! My old Chevy Silverado couldn't sniff 18mpg highway. weird
