Seeing this stuff really p!sses me off. I'm not sure what I'd do if I ever caught someone doing this to my truck.

To your question. I've used MagnaFlow on another vehicle and had good success with it for about three months. Could have been a fluke, as others here seem to approve of the brand on Toyotas. You could also go with Catco (which is what I'm running on the other vehicle now). You can purchase either for under a hundred easily online. A muffler shop shouldn't run you too much to install it.

OEM...that's gonna be $$$

i was thinking about turning it in to my insurance company but if i can find a quality CC, i might just go with the cheapest method.

Sorry to hear about that, it's a frustrating situation...

Looks like they unbolted it? At least the didn't take a sawzall to it and kept your 02 wiring intact

You're not disabled now, drive that loud mother around I did when I had to get my exhaust fixed. Loud and annoying, you get pulled over, just tell them what happened.

check with insurance, if no go, get a magnaflow. Should be around easily around 200bucks installed from any compintant muffler shop

sneeky bastards. they unbolted mine as they did the act in my driveway at night trying not to make a sound. if i had welded it, it may have prevented it. IMHO

I'm working on building a cage like apparatus that would prevent the CC from being removed even if they cut the pipes off.

After hearing about this theft, I searched around and found that this is a growing problem. I've found that the Catclamp is the only product that works. I'm seriously thinking of getting one

You are paying the price for not having any rust. They wouldn't be able to unbolt mine. Of course when mine was stolen, they cut it out along with the flange that connects to the muffler. This was a blessing as the insurance company covered the cost of OEM muffler, cat and tailpipe/hangers. This allowed me to purchase a Magnaflow setup and a set of Budbuilts

cat almost stolen in central Phoenix

I feel for you, bro. I live in Central Phoenix, and mine was almost stolen on New Year's Eve at 5 a.m. My wonderful wife almost caught him in the act in the carport, but she forgot to tell me to bring a gun...rats! Anyway, L C Engineering in Lake Havasu City AZ has modified Magnaflow cats for plug and play. These are less expensive than the dealer's parts counter and many other parts counters. Good luck!
