Anyone else been locked inside their truck?

A strange question I know, but it has been bugging me for 2 years. If I lock the doors from the inside then pull the inside lever, the door will not unlock again. You have to roll down the window and pull the outside lever to get out. After that everything works as normal. Both of my doors do this, so I have always assumed it is 'normal'. Just makes me

So are my doors crazy, because I searched and saw nothing...

if I locked the door from the inside by pushing the button down, and couldn't open the door, the next thing I'd do is pull the button up. If I still couldn't open the door... meaning I'd have to roll the window down to unlock the door, either the car-jackers have rebuilt the window regulator or...
... not really sure what else....
but I'm fairly sure my foot would go through the door, or at least the window.

Or your question was to vague for a proper answer.

now if your question was:

have you ever saran-wrapped any of your friends's cars while they were sleeping inside of it and put a for sale sign on their windshield so that they could not drive off or get out of the car... I would understand... (yes, i did that to a "friend" and it was epic)

as for locks, I never lock my car while Im inside it, so i never have a problem.

I got locked inside our NewHolland dually tractor last year in 100 degree heat. I got in, shut the door and went to turn the key and there was no key. We ALWAYS leave the key in and some jackass took it out. NO KEY NO AIR CONDITIONING! I went to open the doors and they wouldn't open. And the back window latch had been broken for years. So there I sat in a full glass cab at 1pm in the Utah direct blazing sun. After 20 min of trying everything and I started to get dizzy. The inside temperature of the cab must have been 150 to 175 degrees!!! I decided to break the lower front little window with a BFW and get my arm around to push the lever and open it. I got out of the cab and on the ground and threw up my lunch. I had mild heatstroke and I went home and took a nap.

Hahahaha, great responses.

Yeah the door handle works fine. Here's how it usually goes: I'm driving along and accidentally lock the door with my elbow. Not realizing I locked the door, I park the truck and try to open the door, but can't because it's locked (obviously). Now if I try to unlock the door, it will not unlock. it's like the lock gets stuck in the locked position. The only way to free it is to pull the outer handle once, and then it can be unlocked like normal and opened with the inside handle.

So, no others do this? Some guy in Japan was hung over when he built my doors 20 years ago...

strange, but I have this nifty little knob-like thingy to the rear of my door panel on the top, that if I pull up on, the door unlocks! if I push it back down, the door locks!

must not be a standard option...

I have no idea what in the world that is. I'm thinking a cross between a Sea Sponge (that has grown legs..... Darwin and all that) and an oddly smiling baby bird...... Hell I don't know.

I don't know. I do however know that if you look at this one long enough you'll begin to laugh like an idiot.

Go ahead. Try it. Stare at it for about 30 seconds...... you'll see.
