Has anyone ever swapped a 3.0 for a 3.4? I have a 1994 4Runner that I would be interested in upgrading. I heard it is an easy swap, but I would like to hear from someone who has done it. Can you use the same transmission? Will any other accessories from the 3.0 fit the 3.4? Is this job worth it?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys, I don't really think I am going to do this swap, but I will definately read up on it. I have a thread going in the Newbe tech forum titled "'94 rRunner restoration". I don't know why I put it in the newbe tech section, I should have put in the '86-'95 section, for it would probably receive more views. I am working on a paint/body job on my 4Runner and I love getting feedback. I have posted a bunch of thoughts, mostly in journal format. Please check it out and let me know what you think. I have a bunch of pics that I haven't had time to put up, but I will try to do it tomorrow.

Do you think it would receive more views if it were in a different forum?
