Hello all, so I went out today and bought my second 22-re 4runner. I had a blast doing the head gasket on my ole 89 4runner, but with a second kid on the way the 2 door wasnt hackin it. Wife needed 4 doors I wanted a 22-re. Found a 90 good straight condition and picked it up for 1600 today knowing that the head gasket was gone. While nursing it home tonight I noticed that from a stop the transmission would shudder untill I picked up momentum say 5mph or so. After picking up momentum I was good to go, but untill then it would shake the dickens out of the truck. My hope is that this is either glazing on the flywheel or oil on the friction plate, but my fear is it may be a bad trany. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks
