I got the 89 4runner home a few minutes ago, yes Scuba I'll post up pictures when I get some time, and I'm pretty happy with it.

So far I know it needs brakes and it needs to be greased. The check engine light is on and the PO pulled the codes for me and it needs an O2 sensor as well as an exhaust gasket where the manifold bolts to the rest of the exhaust. It did pass emissions 6 days ago and I'm hoping it'll do so again when I go to get the title transfered, silly New Mexico law. I did notice that the t-case shifter looks like it's backwards and I'll have to look into that when I get time. Oh and it needs to be cleaned really badly but that's a non issue since I'm a clean freak anyway.

Other than that I might have to chase down some other issues that I'm sure that will pop up in the future but I can't complain about the 1500$ price tag.

Yeah I spent about 10% of my slush fund on the rig so now I'm so broke I can't even begin to build it. I need to keep some money available in case something goes wrong.

Oh and cell phones suck. In 37 years I've never needed one and a few months back I bought one so I can call for help if I get into trouble on the trail. It stays turned off until I leave for a wheeling trip.

Green? Are you sick or drinking? I'm planning on keeping the Royal Blue and Black (with the gray interior thank you) for a while yet. I do however plan to add rock rash accents along with some trail dent detail.

 

I've been wondering when you were going to get that thing. Like everyone else, I want to see pics...
