Do 86-95 PU leaf springs fit on a 96 PU?

I saw a guy today with a truck identical to mine and he said that he swapped out the rear leaf springs out of a 86-95 pickup into his 96 for about 2 inches of rear lift.

Has anyone dont this before or know anything about it? he said its a direct swap but i dont think ive heard of it

I've actually managed to break the original leaf springs in my 1998 taco 2.7L 4cyl ext cab, then I broke the "Hell Creek" replacements I put in but the company replaced them for free including shipping (and will for life I own her)! The Hell Creek give my truck a 2-4" rear lift as they are 4 leaf with 1 helper not the stock 3.... I haul alot of firewood with her....
Not sure that 95's would fit, i'd call a parts place and check as they have the schematics
