Question Need advise asap, please

Hello all, I have a 87 4 Runner SR5 22RE. It keeps throwing a check engine light code 5 at me when i am on the freeway at a steady speed and rpm no more than +/- 500rpm, then the check engine light will go off?
I have replaced 3 Denso sensors already!!!
I coming to belive it's no the o2 sensor, but still is giving me code 5, (o2 sensor circut) I have checked the wiring and it's all good!
Any help will great. Thanks............

Do you have any exhaust modifications? My truck started doing this when I added the LC Engineering header.

If not, you might look at the EGR valve. I also had this issue. New EGR valve fixed it for me, but keep in mind every situation is different.

Hey thanks for the info. I don't have any ext mods. I will look at the EGR next. Did your header give you much more power? And how much was it?
Thanks..............

My header didn't give me a SUPER amount of power, but it was significant enough to notice a moderate difference. I am now able to make it up steep hills without downshifting to 3rd. A header and a Cam are the best ways to wake up a 22RE
