whats up i have a 89 4 runner 4x4 with a rusty body and a 88 pickup 2wd thats in pretty good shape. has anyone ever done a swap like this with a 4wd chassis and a 2wd body? i would like to know about things to look for before i jump into it. any help is appreciated.

 

It has been done...I thought I had a link saved but no luck. the cab should not be a big problem, the rear mounts might be different. Is the 2WD a short bed?
You will need to cut some out floor for the TC selector.

You might want to post this in Newbie Tech though...don't think you are gonna get a ton of responses in the 'General Electrical' Folder...
