Lake Arrowhead North Shore Trail**A noobies 1st quest**

Hey guys...just got into wheeling about a month ago when I was forced to by a 4x4 to get me around the SoCal mountains during the snow seasons. A friend of mine got me interested in 4runners when he took me for a spin down in Riverside...so I had to get one! Living up here is not the easiest but, worth every penny when you walk outside and admire the view!

Anyhow...I took the trail off of Torrey road towards the North side of Lake Arrowhead. It was a fairly easy trail for me and had a few difficult spots where a locker may have made things easier. It is a very good beginner trail for people like myself to get the hang of wheeling...anyhow..here are the pics I took! enjoy

There are still a few snow patches but, nothing to serious

Climbing up a little roller

My son taking a cheese puff break

Me and the kiddo right at the start of the 2N28Y trail

The trail is not too muddy...just right if you ask me!

Thanks guys!! Well today my friend(fab guy) and I made a front bumper for it with 2 hella 500ffs. The stock lights just don't cut it up here! Came out really nice! Just gotta paint it! I am also gonna do a Hella headlight conversion and run HID's. But next on my list besides tires is doing a long travel setup. Not going with a Total Chaos kit..as much as I would like..just not enough funds for that! So I am gonna use a friend of mine who also loves to fab to go ahead and make our own setup...should be pretty cool and a lot cheaper!! I will be sure to keep you guys updated!

i thought all that area was locked off this time of year for some bald eagle nesting or something like that? i've been wanting to take my 4runner out, but it seems like everything is gated off and locked or blocked by cops anytime the slightest amount of snow falls.

Actually it is wide open...Even when there is snow present on the trails...it is best to always have chains and you may need them in some areas where there are climbs. There is an area that is protected but, it is fenced off and about 20 ft away from one of the trails...I am guessing that is the nesting area.
