Manual locking hub noise

Manual locking hub noise
Hey,
I have DIY hubs, which I like unless its -10 like it was here this morning and I cant get it out of the spot in 2wd.
I noticed that sometimes, after locking in, i hear noise in coming from the front when rolling that sounds like "wwwwhhhhommm wwwwhhhhhommm wwwwhhhooomm increasing in frequency with speed until road noise drowns it out (or it stops, can't hear it over 10 mph regardless). Seams to do it in 2wd and 4wd if the hubs are locked and doesn't seam to be much of an issue after shes been locked for a while
Anything to worry about??
Also- when shifting into 2 and 3 a can hear/feel a little click. Its not rough, it goes right in and is very smooth. Its less of a hesitation than it is just a slight noise. Truck only has 70,000k on it (everything, tranny motor body) but carfax says it was registered commercial for the first 10 years of its life so maybe some a-hole plowed with it.
thanks for any input.
