Need with O2 sensors

I need to buy some new oxygen sensors. I found some online but I need to know if I need 2 different ones or not. I looked for some information but I cant find anything. Can someone help me out?

I have a 96 4X4 Tacoma 2.7L 3RZFE and I need to buy both of the sensors. (before and after the cat)

Thanks in advance.

I only replace the front one, this is the one that does most of the reporting to the computer. I paid $160 with shipping from sparkplugs.com, for a Denso replacement. cheapest place I found, dealer could not meet or beat the price.

I went with the direct plug in, unbolted everything and disconnected one plug and put it all back. Way under an hour job.

Not sure why you would want to replace both, try the front first and see if it fixes your problem.

More description of your problem please

I'm assuming I need both because when I had them hook it up to the code reader it said the O2 sensors were bad.

The front one is pricey and the rear one is a little less pricey.
I would get the actual code and/or print out from the hookup and go from there.

bad gas mileage?

check engine light is on, and I get bad gas mileage. I looked online for them but its not telling me which one is for the front and which one is for the back. From what I understand on a couple different sites is that the parts are interchangeable, both front and back are the same part number.

I've looked on www.partstrain.com , www.rockauto.com and on the site you suggested.

Just not sure which one to order for the front or back.
