hi all...i am working on a 93 4runner. replaced the rear lines halfway to the lspv. replaced the master cylinder as well. i can't seem to bleed the brakes. pedal goes to the floor. it has abs and there seems to be some lines that go to a box at the rf near the rad. there is a power steering hose that goes to it as well. What is this box for???? and is there a bleeding procedure that must be followed. i am stumped please help

That box near the front is the ABS actuator for your rear brakes. It used pressure from the PS system, which is why there are power steering lines going to it. There should be no reason to do any special bleeding for that unless you disconnected all the lines to it.

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder before installing it on the truck? If not, your chances of getting all the air out of it aren't good.

After your master cylinder has been bench bled and re-installed (assuming you didn't do it in the first place) I would recommend pressure bleeding the system (it's explained here if you don't know how. The adapter will also fit your 2nd gen 4Runner brake reservoir.) Make sure you also bleed the LSPV.

If all that doesn't work, then maybe start considering the possibility that you got a faulty "new" master cylinder. It happens more often than one would care to think about.
