Found a rear locker in the junkyard yesterday - Graham WA

I'm not sure if anyone is interested, but I found a rear locker in the junkyard yesterday.

It is on a 1997 4runner that appeared to be in a front-end collision. The 4runner is still on its wheels and the rear axle looked fine, the dash switch and wiring looked to also be intact.

This is too much of a project for me, but maybe another yota-techer is looking to make this upgrade.

The 4runner is at B&R Auto-Wrecking in Graham Washington. I think it is also called Meridian Auto-Wrecking. I don't know what the price is.

Does anyone know if this will fit in a 99 3.4? I would love to buy it. But will have to see if they can pull all the parts and ship to AR.

All of the lockers I have seen or heard about run a 4.30 gearing. So, you would need to switch out both ends. Why it is that ratio has yet to be explained. Only the little Japanese men in Japan know.

Or, you could run larger tires on the rear than on the front. Sort of like a street rod.

I will be here all week.
