2002 Runner Anti-slide action
Growing up in the mountains I learned how to drive in the snow and know how to fix and correct a "fish tail." When I first began driving my 4runner in the snow and started to slide, the Runner cut to gas and started to apply the antilock brake system. Freaked my out but now all it does is really make me upset. Is there anyway to disable this control action, I have looked in the manual and have found nothing to no avail. Thank you for your help

Do a search next time...this subject has been covered at nauseum.
I'm in good spirits at the moment, so I'll save you some leg work: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f127...ystems-103814/

I know exactly what you mean. The bad part about the 4runner traction control system is, unlike others in its class (like my brothers Xterra), you can't turn off the traction control unless you're in 4WD.

someone really needs to do what the guys over at toy120 did and make the computer think the diff is locked when its physically not to shut off VSC with a switch and then be able to the turn it back on the fly.
