Rim size recommed
#1
I'm in process of buying a set of new rims. At this point I'm cluesless on what width to buy. My buddy told me to get 15x10 and also told me that it would give me better traction in mud or other terrain. I have a 86 Toyo SR5 4wd with stock I believe 15x7. Tires size I'm planning on getting for the mean time is 31x12.50...would 15x8 or 15x10 better for me. I do alot of hunting, fishing and maybe playing in mud once in awhile. Please advise......

I wouldn't run a 12.5" tire on a 7" rim personally. You'll get quite a bit of sidewall flex. 15x10 is good size for 12.5". Besides, it'll look better with the sidewalls near vertical instead of pinched in. At worse, have to tire shop mount the tires on one of your rims first so you can see what it looks like.
