Why you should not wheel with out some form of door
I was searching another forum for some information for a friend of mine when I came across a thread about wheeling with out some form of door.
I personally run a set of tube doors during the summer, visibility is great and they still offer some protection.
I have seen a ton of pictures on Yotatech and other forums of people wheeling with out doors. Than I saw this picture:

anybody see that foot between the rock and the slider??
The driver's leg got fubarred pretty good.
If you wheel, please use some form of door whether it is a tube door or half door...
Keep it safe
PSA over now

, that guy's foot is seriously pinched. I couldn't imagine wheeling without doors anyway, for this reason exactly.
I came from car racing to offroading, doors definitely offer a lot of protection. Whether its another car coming at you at 80mph or the ground coming at you a door's going to save your ass or at least keep you from being in worse shape than without it.

Wooden Leg + kickstand
It's going to be hard for that poor guy to operate a clutch with a peg leg. That pic makes me think of adding plexi-glass or lexan to my tube doors in order to add just one more measure of safety. :hafta tinker:

we wheel without doors alot around here, it just makes you choose more carefully what type of obstacles you want to try. If i dont have doors on a rig i just take straps and run them across where the door would be, it doesnt really offer protection but it can keep you in the vehicle at least. i don't see that as being much worse than riding on a quad. even if your quad is going over you don't stick your foot out to try and stop it i don't think a truck is much different. i definitely wouldn't play in big rocks without doors though for obvious reasons.

Objects can also enter into the driver or passenger compartments during a rollover so it's simply comes down to how much of a risk taker you are and a bit of Darwin's Theory at work. I'd never wheeel doorless.

the status of his leg however, not so hopeful
