Dual O2???

Dual O2???
Hi Folks, I am desperately trying to get my truck running to leave town. I am doing a Turbo engine swap in my 88 truck. The engine is out of an 87 turbo truck. I found out my truck had a dual oxygen sensor system and I am wondering what to do with the second O2 sensor now. Can the turbo computer even take a feed from the second sensor? I will have to do some fancy cutting and welding on the exhaust pipe to take the mounting plate area of the old exhaust pipe and splice it into the new pipe that does not have a place for the second sensor. Can I just unplug the second sensor and run without it?
Any help appreciated.

If the turbo truck didn't have the 2nd O2, I wouldn't worry about it. The 2nd O2 is basically to check on the catalytic converter operation. But, you may have some issues if you have to smog test it.

OK I found out it is not a second O2 it is the primary but it is in the tailpipe in front of the converter instead of in the manifold. It has a totally different plug though I will have to see if I can rewire the harness I guess.

why not use the manifold from the turbo and keep the O2 up there and just leave the other O2 in the pipe to block the hole?
You are switching harnesses from the turbo onto the 88, right?
