my 86' 22r is wayyyyyyy too cold natured and likes to stall the second i let my foot off the gas within the first 10 min of starting the engine


i just saw a weber carb conversion on ebay motors for 270ish



i was just curious if these have any results that might be worth the money

if you don't want to fork out the $$$ though, what about fixing the stocker?; sounds like the choke's stick'n open a lil, or may not be operating at all...

 

well im new to the carbuerated world and havent heard of this but i will indeed make full use of the search button

but the search button does get overlooked too often here...



personally, I'd see if you can fix the stocker...

if not, then consider what you're doing witht he truck; if it's just a DD, then the stocker will do fine for your needs more than likely. The Weber may get better MPG advertised probably, but wait till you stomp on the gas and open up the secondary... your MPG will plumit... at least that's how it was on my Isuzu when I bolted on my Weber 32/36 DGEV... but it was also bored, cammed, ported and polished, so I dunno those may have been a factor too... plus I have a lead foot...


also, check the FSMs in the stickies to get some good stuff about the carb; very good detailed stuff in em!
