I think I have a good one for ya... I was looking under the hood of my truck yesterday when I noticed coolant on the airbox. I looked around for the leak and found a 3" crack in the plastc right on top. So I changed the radiator today. I was laying under it and I heard a buzzing noise. Kinda like a fly in a window noise. Engine off, key out of the ignition, battery disconnected. I found where the noise was comming from. I circled it in the pic. What on earth is in there that would keep buzzing (about 1 sec on 5 sec off over and over)???

At least I don't have to worry about the factory radiator mixing coolant and tranny fluid any more...

 

That's your evap canister. It's totally normal.

 

ok... I guess it wasn't so good. Too easy... It sure had me bafled. I have never heard an evap do that...

Yeah, when I first got the truck it puzzled me for a while aswell. Happens to the best of us.

 

Yep, Ive got the buzzing as well.

 

There is a TSB for that noise,I did it on mine,I can still hear the noise but its less noticable now...Before It would get very annoying when next to a wall..Like in the drive through lane...
