to clean the circuit trace inside of the AFM, you should use electrical contact cleaner.

you can use the MAF cleaner to clean the inside of the air passage.

Please search and read up on this. So many people have messed up the connections in the afm by unscrewing the screws on the top of the afm and pulling.

The inside if the AFM is sealed, no dirt or anything can get in so there is no need to open it up and clean it. Are you having a problem with your truck that makes you think its the AFM ?.
