Rear locker questions

I want to put a Detroit in the rear of my runner so I can get somewhere this winter. I am still running stock gears on 31s. I will be lifting her a couple 3 inches in the spring and going to 33-34" and obviously re-gearing at that time. Will the same Detroit fit with the new gears or are they sized to fit the gears? I guess I have never done it backwards and changed gears after I installed a locker.

This is probably a stupid question, but search came up with nothing and I don't feel like waiting till monday to hear from a dealer. I assuming I can because there is no options when I go to purchase the locker online. I just want to make sure before I drop $500. Thanks all!

Yes you can re-use the locker when you change gears down the road.
