4wd power steering vs. 2wd

I have a 1990 4wd pickup with a 22re. If i got a used power steering pump and box from a junk yard would it matter if i got it off a 2wd truck instead of a 4wd or do i need to get it off of a 4wd. There are never any 4wd trucks at the junk yard.

The steering boxes are not the same. Everything else should be the same.

The pitman arm shaft in the gearbox itself is longer on the 4wd.

Really? What is the difference? The height of the u-joint going into the gearbox?

Im not sure if the gearbox itself transfers over. I just replaced the pump that is bolted to the block. That part swapped over no problem.
