steering knuckle swap

i feel as though this is a stupid question but i have to ask. will the steering knuckle from my 86 4runner with a 22re work in my 88 4runner with a 3vz?

It probably will, and here's why I think that. If you go here (http://www.car-part.com/) and look up the part there will be no choice of engine and both 86 and 88 years (along with a lot of others) listed together.

odd how going to an auto parts site and asking for one part for a specific truck, then asking for the same part for another truck can tell you so much, no?
