What do you call the "climate zone selector?"

This thing:

The hot/cold selector on the bottom works fine. The lever to move it from pointing at my head, to my feet, or a mix of the two doesn't seem to change anything. Blower is fine. Heater works great.

How do I check/fix/replace the zone selector thingie?

PS- If anyone can give me the correct verbage for this it'd be appreciated.

There are levers and/or cables in the dash to move the vents around. I would take the dash apart and see if something came loose. It should be pretty straightforward as it is all mechanical.

Pop the top black face off the dash. Its pretty easy.

Remove the lower dash under the steering wheel.
pop out the black peice after you unclip your electrical connections (Clutch start cancel, Hazzard lights etc...) and pull it out.

This will give you ample room to look at the connections. I had the same problem, it actually happens every so often.
The wire simply came unhooked so it had extra slack.. Easy fix once you get in there.
