? about charging Diehard Platinums

Trying to decide on a new battery, and will probably end up going with a dual purpose yellow or blue top, BUT, I saw the Diehard Platinum the other day, and was intrigued until the guy told me I would probably want to get a Diehard charger that has a special "Platinum" setting on it, for another $100. I already have a 7 amp Battery Sentinel, which I am really happy with, and a 15 amp automatic Diehard charger, so my question for those of you that actually understand the science behind batteries, would the Platinum really need a special charge that is not available through the chargers I already have?

Here is the charger:

"Custom DieHard Platinum multi-stage charging algorithm - specifically designed to charge DieHard Platinum automotive and marine AGM batteries."
