regarding replacement tire sizes? My 03 4R came with 265/65/17's so what would be a safe increase in size ? (no lift kit planned btw)

Ant,

I did quite a bit of research and the options aren't that great.

I'm waiting on some 265-70-17 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos to go on my stock rims.

I'm told I can expect some rub but don't know that for sure.

You will find almost NOTHING in 265-65-17.

Your'e right, so far I haven't found a damn thing in 265-65-17! Dumb question: going from 65 to the 70 increases width or heigth?

ok little lesson as I understand it on tire sizes

225/75r15

225/75r15
225 mm wide

225/75r15
75% of 255mm = tire height

225/75r15
15 = 15" rims

So 225mm = 22.5cm = 8.86" wide

(8.86") (0.75) = 6.64" tall

Overall height is (6.64)(2) + 15 = 28.3" tall

SO....

225/75r15 = 28.3 x 8.9 x 15
235/75r15 = 28.9 x 9.3 x 15
245/75r15 = 29.5 x 9.6 x 15

285/85r16 = 34.0 x 11.2 x 16
