Hoping to find a kind and knowing swapper in Tucson on short notice

Hi gang -

I know it's a long shot but I'm really hoping some yotatecher can give me a hand, or rather, some time and experience.

Last Saturday morning I took the dead 3.0 out of my 92 4Runner 5spd. I then placed an add on the Tucson local craigslist looking for a 3.4. This afternoon I got an e-mail from Keith of Keith Brook's European Services auto repair and he says he has a complete, good 3.4 with ECU and harness. He does not remember what it came out of but says one of his guys does.

Is there a chance someone in the Tucson area would be willing to take a look at this engine with me and give some advice? I know several swaps have been done in Tucson (but I can't yet find the info I saved). I would of course be willing to pay some gas $s and for trouble. The engine is at Keith's shop on 1st one block north of Grant.

Any assistance would be much appreciated, even if it is just e-mail advice. I will of course ask about year, model, trans, engine condition, etc. and check harness plug diagrams but that's about the extent of what I can do at the moment. I will find out from the mechanic what it came out of and mileage.

I know this is short notice, and I was going to post this request here anyway, but I didn't actually expect to already have a engine to look at.

Thanks! Cheers, Joel

im in the middle of doing my swap, all i can say is read all the threads and ask alot of questions, theres tons of info on this site, all the mechanics is pretty easy and straight forward, the only real hard part is the wiring but if you have deep pockets ors makes a harness that takes care of it. good luck
