Recently changed head gasket, sounds loud now

So as the title says I just changes my head gasket as well as the oil and water pumps...My truck sounds louder than it did before, it ticks louder and it has that locomotive sound like the oil is really low after the motor gets hot. The mechanic dident change my oil so I did it yesturday and it dident really change any of the sounds.
I'm just wondering if the valves would have gone out of adjustment taking off the head, or if adding a new HG would mean re adjusting the valves?
I'm assuming it is the valve tick I'm hearing.

Any ideas?

the valves should be re-adusted but it could be an exaust leak as well.

I would also check to see if there are any vacuum leaks.

I bet its your valves, readjust them and the noise should go away or at least not be so loud!
