Vision X HIL-STW Tantrum Strobe System And Rock Light Kit

Anyone seen this brand before?
They come in different colors, but only one color per kit which is eight lights.

No switch to wire, it is operated via remote.

Haha!!! I bought them for the use of rock lights and the strobe was an added bonus. They are pretty bright (of course the pics don't do them justice, lol). I do wish that they had a little bit more of a "flood" to them but they are plenty bright for rock lights. My kids think the strobe is cool.

To do the strobe, you hit the same button to cycle through all the different "patterns/features", but to get back to all on you can hit the reset button anytime instead of cycling all the way through and back to all on.

Wish there was more info on the multi colour set... is it a random switch or can you choose specific colours for certain applications? like having the rear two in red glow might be useful... does the colour select according to the music when you have sync selected?

slo have you tried the sync feature yet? with music other the the main st. elec. parade? was that done using music sync or did you do that manually?

If you plan on useing these as rock lights (which was my reason) then do not get the multi-color set. The pods have the same number of LED's per pod, but there are three different colors, therefore when you have it set to all solid on white, it won't be as bright as the white set that I have.

I have not used the music sync yet mainly due to the fact that I feel slightly silly standing in my driveway by myself watching it. In the video, he is actually cycling through all the different strobe patterns, one of which is the music sync. The master control (and keyfob remote) have 4 buttons. On/off, Select (lets you cycle from all on, through all the strobes, to music sync), Reset (sets it back to "all on" so you don't have to cycle through all the patterns if you don't want to), and Speed (which lets you speed up/slow down the strobes for the different patterns. The keyfob remote will be perfect for hanging out by the fire on the beach and haveing some entertainment without getting up.

Edit: Although they do sell these pods individually as well. So you could get a couple red ones to supplement your white set. The only thing is that I don't think you can tie the extra ones into the strobe system, but you could have them on a seperate switch.

Yeah, if I'm in mud that deep, I'm pissed! LOL

Seriously though, for not too deep of mud, I placed them where the mud doesn't get easily (unless you're just in deep mud). Which is one reason for not cleaning the mud off my 4runner before I installed it, I was able to see where the mud was flung from the tires.

thats what it looks like....

I talked to Vision X and they said that in order to become a dealer i need to have a buy in order of 2500 or greater.... but they said they will forward my info to another distributor who may not have a buy in requirement (but is unlikely i'll get the same price cut... oh well).

Chris, if you get some orders for their HID's or LED bars, it won't take you long to get to 2500.
