my CB antenna install PICS!
thought it was a different place to mount it and im super happy with it, i work in a machine shop so i made the peice at the base so everything just screws together, its much stronger than the stock crap and i didnt want to drill a hole in the ARB for my CB ANTENNA but most of all its different...ENJOY

The CB is between 3 and 30mhz whereas broadcast radio is well above that.
VHF= broadcast radio
HF= cb
Nice cb mount by the way. Very professional.

Castaic, unfortunately because antenna lengths are designed to work within a specific frequency range, you will not beable to use a cb antenna also for your FM radio.

Does it really matter what frequency its best at, not really, how many of us have used a tin foil antenna for a TV before or a coat hanger for the shop radio. Wasn't great reception but it sufficed.

Hey, looks good, but I like to listen to the radio. I think I'm going to mount mine to the rear bumper like I did on my old 2nd gen 4Runner & just deal with moving it to open the hatch. God I miss the 2nd gen tailgate!
Oh well, your close by, maybe see you around.

Wow, that looks really slick man, I'm still looking for a place to mount mine on my 98 4runner. Can't decide whether to mount it to the bumper or fabricate a piece for the driver side hood fender.
