What can be done to make my truck sound louder?

I have a 93 3vz-e motor

I installed a magnaflow mufler on my truck but it sounds really quiet. it is louder than the stock muffler i used to have, but still not as loud as I'd like. I have no mods; everything is stock, but i want to hear more of that deep magnaflow sound. What can I do to hear more of it?

You can get a free flow cat, that'll make it a little louder. You can always just get a glass pack, those usually make things really loud. Flowmaster mufflers also are quite loud.

you want loud ... try getting single inlet , dual outlet 2 chamber flowmaster and then turn the outlet pipes down.

free flow cat or no cat will definetly make it louder, no cat will be REALLY loud. a turn down tip resonates off the pavement which makes it louder. also headers will make the exhaust louder not to mention more power for sure (high flow cat will boost power too). i have stock cat with glasspack on my 3.0 and its pretty loud, not too loud though.

What size Magnaflow did you put on? In general, the shorter the muffler the louder it will be. If you put on a 24", you may want to remove it and try the 18" or 14". Most shops will swap a muffler free-of-charge in the first few days. How long's it been?

There're some side-by-side comparisons here:

Also you can do the deckplate and ISR mods to get a nice intake roar to go along with the exhaust note. Just a thought.
