IF YOU DO A SUSPENSION LIFT YOURSELF, here's a tip!
Well... this tip is about finding spring compressors that will fit. If you go to autozone and explain what you are doing, they will give you an external spring compressor most likely. It is a long bolt with deep threads and two "grabber" things to grab onto the rungs of the spring. This will NOT work! The lift springs are too thick and stiff to even let you hook up the spring compressor. Ask them for TWO internal spring compressors, and see if you can't get a lower security payment because the single one won't work. The internal ones have the long bolt with deep threads as well, but they have four "grabbers" that are hinged so one would be able to put it inside a spring. It was $80 for two internal spring compressors ($40 each), but after I explained my issue he let me take two of them for a $50 security payment. When you take the compressors back though they will refund you 100% of your money as long as you haven't broken anything and have kept your receipt. So what you do is with each internal coil spring compressor you hook on one of the "grabbers" from each end and then just tightn the bolt. If this doesn't make sense it will once you have them in your hand. If ya plan on doing it yourself that should be of big help. Hope it saves someone the time and frustration of having to deal with a spring compressor that doesn't fit!

Yeh the ones that they give you at first won't work SAFELY. I used them b/c I didnt know any better but they did work. They didnt grab onto the spring fully and it looked like it might pop out but it didn't. I advise to do what WHITESR5 said, get the other kind.

Same here I second all of that, I used the external ones but they were really unsafe and I didn'tknow any better. I trusted the "Pro's". Oh well lesson learned, never gona use external one again, but hopefully I'll never have to do it again, one Runner has been de-lifted and the other already has the lift in so I shoudl be safe for awhile
