Whats up guys, im new to toyota trucks, i picked up a 84 single cab for $1800....all stock, never been rallied. 22r has 213,000 miles on it. no rust really. i got all the original paper work with it and all the maintainence paper work since 1986, truck was really taken care off. Everything works fine but i have no 3rd gear, is this something i should worry about?


cons- driver door doesn't lock.
no 3rd.
emergency lights don't work.

questions i had-

I want to put some new tires and rims on it for now, whats the biggest i can go without getting any suspension stuff or messing with anything? i was thinking some black 15x8 steelies with some 31's? help me out guys!

Also what else would you recommened?
im looking to keep rims and tires only till i understand what i want to buy for the truck.

is there anything bad that these trucks are known for?

also, if i got flow masters would it not let me pass emissions?
