lnot really just a half a block. and proformace headers.
but i dont think that would stop my truck at 10 miles.

but i have felt my starter and its brand new just put it in myself. its running real hot, so i change my cables. because the battery cables were very hot and now that ive changed them they are not hot so idk.

so after about ten miles of driving, the engine just stops running and you can't get it started?
will the engine crank over like it's trying to start but just doesn't start running or is it when you turn the key nothing happens?

air flow meter... could be a number of things, but my 89 (22re) did the same thing to me when my cold air intake bracket snapped and the intake pipe was seperated from the afm. It was just the first thing that came to mind. good luck

considering it happens when the engine has warmed up, and seems to go away after it cools down couple of things then-
coolant temp sensor for the ECU may be sending bad signals and causing the fuel mixture to be too out of whack for the engine operate properly.
thermostat or other cooling issue causing the coolant temp sensor mentioned above to send improper signals to the ECU
fuel pressure regulator not holding enough pressure and allowing the fuel in the fuel line (from being so close to the engine) to get too hot and vapor lock

Do you know how to check the truck for any computer trouble codes?
