1985 Toyota Ext. Cab

1985 Toyota Ext Cab Trail/Rock Crawler $2300

Email me for more pics.

I bought this truck from a buddy of mine who built it a few years ago and then lost interest. My plan was to finish it up and keep it but at the moment I need the cash for another project. Here's what I know about it.

THE GOOD:
Frame is SOLID no rust or rot!!!
Chevy SB V8 - Runs good
TH350 automatic tranny with B&M shifter mated up to the toyota transfer
case with a advanced adapter mounting kit.
Solid front axle, 3" body lift and 3" suspension lift, 33" x 15 tires.
Gas savings 2bl carb, headers, new yellow top battery, electric fan.
Interior is in great shape, clean and complete.
Roll bar and nerf bars.

THE BAD:
Bed is in ruff shape. Sides are rusty, could be repaired.
My plan was to build a tube flat bed.

Does have rust on the lower corners of the cab and drivers side rocker panel. I already bought the replacement sheet metal panels made for these sections. Just need to be welded into place.

The truck came with manual steering.
I have all the parts needed to make it power steering for a added cost.

Well thats about all I can think of at the moment. Please feel free to email
me any questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them. Also if you
want pics of something, let me know and I'll do my best to get them to you.

Only because you asked...

The spraybombed frame/stepbars/rollbar, mismatched tires, hoodpins, all reflect negatively on the fact that the truck has a V8 swap. A potential buyer would want to see and be reassured that a certain level of craftsmanship and time was put into the vehicle.

Throw on matching tires and wheels, wire wheel all of the metallic blue spraypaint off of the frame/rollbar/step bar and go back over with something like satin black. Lose the "driving lamps" in the front bumper. Consider losing the bodylift.

'85 was a great year and is highly sought after. I would suggest putting in some time/elbow grease, and aim to return the truck as close as possible to stock.

ok, Thanks for the input. I should have mentioned that I have the matching front rims for the rear. Totally forgot about it. I can clean it up, do the body work, etc, etc. However then the price would have to reflect that. There are a few other '85's on the board that are in the condition your talking about but their also asking $10k for it. Well I'll do some work to it and relist and see what happens.

Thanks again,
Joe

My sister is in Ocala. But I'm not sure, probably on the west coast. If I can ever get out of NJ.

***** UPDATE *****

Lowered Price $2000 / BO

I painted the blue stuff and frame camo green. Here are some updated pics. Also the reason for the hood pins is the radiator support had to be cut out to fit the larger radiator to support the V8.

Here is a pic of the radiator.

Here are the replacement panels to repair the rusted cab area.

Here's a frame shot.

Let me know if you have any questions.
